Oatmeal Cookie Mason Jar Recipe

Ingredients
- 1 cup flour unbleached, organic
- 1/2 tsp baking soda
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 2/3 cup brown sugar
- 1/3 cup sugar raw, organic
- 1 1/2 cup oatmeal
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1/2 cup butter room temperature
- 1 egg
- 2 tsp vanilla extract
Instructions
- Layer ingredients into a quart-sized mason jar starting with the flour, baking soda, and salt. Using a spoon or a small measuring cup, pack down the flour.
- Add brown sugar, sugar, oats, and chocolate chips and push down after each ingredient.
- When you're ready to bake the oatmeal cookies, preheat the oven to 375ยบ and remove the chocolate chips with a spoon, set aside. Dump all other dry ingredients into a bowl and combine.
- Add the butter, egg, and vanilla. Mix until everything is incorporated. Fold in the chocolate chips.
- Using a small scoop drop cookie dough balls onto a greased cookie sheet about 2 inches apart. Bake for 8-10 minutes and then let cool for 2 minutes before removing them from the cookie sheet. This recipe should make about 24 cookies.
