Essential Oils For Tallow Soaps: Unlock Their Luxurious Benefits And Uses

Incorporating essential oils into our soap recipes enhances the beneficial properties of the oils used and aligns with a more natural and holistic approach to skincare. We love to use essential oils for their luxurious aroma and other beneficial properties. Essential oils can play a big part in the healing and well-being of your skin. Discover some of our favorite oils to use below!

Benefits of Essential Oils Instead of Synthetic Fragrances

Essential oils are derived from plants and give the natural scent and benefits of that plant. Synthetic fragrances are chemically made and the full ingredients list is sometimes not given, making it difficult to ensure that these fragrances are nontoxic. Unfortunately, harmful ingredients can be hidden under the word “fragrance” in an ingredients list. Essential oils are pure; when listed in an ingredients list, you know exactly what is used to scent the product. There’s no guesswork.

Essential oils go much beyond a pleasant smell. They boast the benefits of the plants from which they were derived. Some of these benefits are therapeutic and some are beneficial to the skin. The best quality essential oils are made from sustainably sourced organic plants.

Tea Tree

The use of tea tree oil in soap can contribute to your overall skin health by keeping it clean, balanced, and free from harmful microorganisms. It helps to fight off bacteria, fungi, and viruses. Additionally, tea tree oil is known for its antifungal properties, which can help prevent and treat fungal infections like athlete’s foot and ringworm

It is a great choice for treating acne breakouts. Tea tree essential oil helps to reduce inflammation and unclog pores while cleansing the skin. It is great for oily or combination skin types because it helps keep a good balance in oil production.

We’ve paired organic lavender and organic tea tree essential oils in our Lavender Tallow Soap to receive benefits from both essential oils in one bar.

Peppermint

Firstly, peppermint essential oil energizes and uplifts your senses which helps with mental clarity and focus. It’s a natural deodorizer that leaves your skin feeling clean and refreshed. Peppermint has antimicrobial properties making it great for preventing and treating acne.
