How to Make a Weekly Pregnancy Tracker

First of all, if you’re looking at ideas for pregnancy trackers, you’re probably pregnant so congratulations!! My daughter is currently 7 years old so these are a few years old but still such a cute idea and I plan on doing something similar with my next pregnancy. I just think tracking your belly progress and some random thoughts during your pregnancy is so fun. Plus, who doesn’t love to see an updated bump picture, right?! • Big Chalkboard – I don’t remember where I got mine but I wish I would have gotten something with a cute frame around it!
  • Chalk Markers – The more colors the better.
  • Command Strips or Easel – I used command strips to attach the board to the wall each week and I would take it down to write on it.

What to Write on Your Board

The options are literally endless as to what you can write on your pregnancy tracker board! I get it though, pregnancy brain is strong and it is hard to think on the spot sometimes! Here are some ideas for you so you never run out of things to write.

  • Dr. visit updates: approximate weight, length, heart rate, etc.
  • Messages and well wishes from loved ones
  • Mommy’s cravings!
  • Baby’s fruit/veggie size
  • Baby’s milestones: what is the baby developing that week? What new things is he/she doing?
  • Eviction Notice
  • Gender Reveal
  • Holiday Editions (Mother’s Day, Easter, St. Patty’s Day, Christmas, New Year, Birthday)

I had so much fun letting different people write on my pregnancy tracker board! While I was pregnant my husband was deployed so I stayed with my parents. They took turns, along with some of my friends, writing on my board and taking pictures. I have a lot of fond memories of us writing messages and trying to think of things to write.

If I could change one thing I would have taken more pictures with the other writers. Looking back, I don’t remember who wrote all of them and it would have been nice to have a few picture reminders!

I also had a little chalkboard at my baby shower and at Disney with me that I had people write on. The Disney board is my favorite because we ran around on my birthday and got a bunch of characters to write on it!

Pregnancy Tracker Memories

A pregnancy tracker board every single week may have been a little much! When I get pregnant again I might change it up a little bit and do every other week or even one board per month. If you do one per month you’ll still get to see how your belly changes little by little and you will have more time to think of clever things to write on your board!

Now that my baby Olivia is 7, she loves being able to look back at these pictures of me! It is such a cool experience growing a baby and the more I can tell her about the time we shared together the better!

Dad finally returned from deployment about 2 weeks before I went into labor, just shy of 42 weeks pregnant! Perfect timing! My pregnancy tracker boards were a great way for him to be involved in my entire pregnancy. He was sure to get a weekly picture and helped come out with the wording too!
